Former beauty queen urges feminists to abandon their plans to protest against the Miss World finals.

Campaign groups, including the London feminist network, objects and UK Feminista, plan to demonstrate against the contest, held in Earl's Court London.

Statement at the London feminist network site says: "forty years ago this contest is subject to feminist sexist in spectacular fashion, with the song ' we are beautiful, we are not bad, we're angry '.

"Let the organizers and everyone took advantage of the show know that we are all upset that such an event again, held here in London, 40 years later.

"Carrying placards, banners and raise your voice against this terrible violation of women's equality. Let them know loud and clear that this event does not have a place in London in 2011. "

Stern aims to get delayed the NBA season is up and running in 30 days

(Reuters)-National Basketball Association (NBA) Commissioner David Stern has set the scene in the regular season started within 30 days as the owner of the team and players prepare for their labor dispute through mediation.
